REGISTRATION FEES
Player fees include a Queensland Rugby League insurance fee and a club registration fee, which goes towards Rugby League Mackay & District’s fees, club administration and providing necessary playing and training equipment for all teams.
Every two years, the player’s registration fees include a club polo, socks and training shorts and shirt. Each year, players are given their playing kit to keep, and the club provides each team with new playing jerseys at the start of the season.
Registered players will receive new kits in 2024, which is included in the registration fee. The training shirts and club polos provided to players in 2024 will be the same design as the shirts and polos that players received as part of their 2022 registration fees.

U6s – $100.00
U7-U17s – $227.50
U14s-U17s girls – $175.00*
*Includes weekly contributions of travel costs to Mackay.
QRL’s insurance fee is added to the registration fee in MySideline.
Family discount
Families who register 3 or more players will receive 20% off the registration fee for one child. This does not include insurance fees.

FairPlay vouchers
Proserpine Whitsunday Junior Rugby League accepts the Qld Government’s FairPlay vouchers. Please note, vouchers cannot be used to pay the insurance fee. Click here for more information. Email vouchers to pwjrl.registrar@gmail.com to receive your code.
Registration closure
Please note that due to large number of players registered in U9s, U10s and U15s, the club has decided to temporarily close registrations for these age groups. The decision has been made to help the coaches prepare for their Round 1 games on 16 March.
HOW TO REGISTER
Players must register online and provide evidence of their age in the form of a birth certificate or passport if registering for the first time. Players cannot play until the registration is complete. When registering a player for the first time, please upload a photo of the player to ensure the registration is approved.
Boys and girls who are turning 5 in 2024 are able to register to play with the Under 6s team. Age groups are governed by the age the player turns on their birthday in the calendar year of the season.
COME AND TRY
If you’d like to try Junior Rugby League before registering, please fill in QRL’s Come and Try form. The form allows participants to trial Rugby League by taking part in training for a period of up to two weeks before paying the registration and insurance fees. Registration must be paid after this time and before they start playing games.

MEDICAL FORM
Players are required to complete a medical form prior to the commencement of training.

TRAINING SCHEDULE
Training sessions are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Proserpine Junior Sporting Complex Grounds. 333 Crystalbrook Rd, Proserpine. U6s only trains on Thursdays.
Coaches determine training times at the start of the season, and training is usually from about 4pm to 6pm. The clubhouse is also open during training.
The training schedule and fields are as follows:
- U6s – 4.30-5.15pm – Soccer field closest to soccer shed/playground
- U7s – 3.45-4.30pm – Beside U8s & blue shade area
- U8s – 4.30-5.30pm – Field 2 north end
- U9s – 4.30-5.30pm – Field 2 south end
- U10s – 4.30-5.30pm – Field 4 north end
- U11s – 4.30-5.30pm – Field 4 south end
- U12s – 4.30-5.30pm – Field 3 north end
- U13s – 4.30-5.30pm – Field 3 south end
- U14s – 4.45-5.45pm – Field 1 north end
- U15s – 4.30-5.30pm – Field 1 south end
- U16s – No team in 2024 – Field 1 north end
- U17s – 5.30-6.30pm – Field 1 south end
- U14s girls – 4.30-5.30pm – Soccer fields
